MANDATORY Canada’s Electronic Travel Authorization – eTA
Under Canada’s eTA program, citizens from countries other than the United States, who do not need a visa to enter Canada, will need to obtain an online authorization before flying to Canada, unless otherwise exempted.
Eligible travellers will have the opportunity to go online and apply for their eTA. The earlier travellers get their eTA, the sooner they will benefit from knowing they have been pre-screened to enter Canada.
eTA is not a new concept: both the U.S. and Australia have already implemented similar programs, so many travellers are already familiar with this type of entry requirement.
Travellers will apply online, providing basic personal information similar to what is currently collected when they arrive in Canada. eTA is convenient and paperless, which means most visa-exempt nationals who wish to travel to Canada will have their eTA granted within minutes of applying. Having obtained an eTA, travellers to Canada can expect faster service upon arrival at the border.

Airline Baggage Fees and Charges
Please note that most domestic carriers within the USA and Canada have introduced new baggage fees and charges either for the first piece of luggage and/or additional pieces. It is Scenic’s policy for guests travelling on our International Tours that one piece of luggage is permitted, whether or not the airlines have any further free luggage allowance.
In most circumstances if you are travelling through on a domestic connection as part of your International ticket, they may allow the on carriage of your luggage to your final destination free of charge. However, if a separate domestic USA/Canada flight and/or ticket is necessary on your itinerary, the airline may charge you a baggage fee (approx USD15 to USD25 per bag per person) this may vary for each airline.
The additional baggage fees are not part of the airfare purchased and will need to be paid upon check-in directly to the airline concerned. It is highly recommended you present your International ticket upon check-in for the domestic flight as this may assist in having the fee waivered, however this will not guarantee exemption from these charges. Meals will not be included on most USA and Canadian domestic flights when not making a direct international connection.
